When you hear I went to Greece for the weekend, you’re probably thinking of all the historical sites in Athens or the beauty of Santorini. I’ll be heading to those places someday, I hope, but for now I skipped over to Thessaloniki for a few days of yummy food and exploring the city with Dan. It’s a very interesting and large city with beautiful views, awesome restaurants and a cool market. I’m not going to lie—we spent a lot of our time drinking Starbucks (at least five times), enjoying beer other than Pilsner, and pigging out at TGIFriday’s. Sometimes it’s really nice to get away and enjoy some American-style comfort, but I sure am glad to be back home in Ohrid, refreshed and ready to dig into all of my projects.
